Chapter 2 Main Screen • Login account information • Various EMS configuration settings This menu item allows you to back up and restore logs and configuration files. You must be logged in using the root account to use some of these functions. 2.4.1 Backup and Restore Use this screen to back up and restore the databases for the EMS. On your computer, each backup is stored as a set of text files in a specific folder. To open this screen, click Tools > Database Management > Backup/Restore. Figure 12 Tools > Database Management > Backup/Restore The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 12 Tools > Database Management > Backup/Restore LABEL DESCRIPTION Directory This field displays the current directory for backing up or restoring the database. If you are backing up, this is the directory in which the EMS backup files are created. If you are restoring, this is the directory in which the EMS backup files are located. Click Browse... to set this directory. Backup Click this to transfer the database files from the EMS to a computer. Restore Click this to transfer the database files from your computer to the EMS. Apply Click this to back up or restore the selected database files. Close Click this to close the screen. NetAtlas EPON Manager User's Guide 37
