Chapter 9 Fault Table 54 Fault > Ping and Trace Route Test > Ping (continued) LABEL DESCRIPTION Status This field indicates whether this ping test is successful or not. Approximate round trip time Min This field displays the shortest round-trip time (the time it takes to send a packet from a device to the destination and back). Max This field displays the longest round-trip time. Average This field displays the average round-trip time. Packet Loss Rate This field displays the packet loss rate. 0% means 0 packets have been lost after the pinging. Packets Sent This field displays the amount of packets sent during the pinging. Packet Lost This field displays the amount of packet lost during the pinging. Close Click Close to exit this screen. 9.3.1 Trace Route Test You can use the Trace Route screen to send a traceroute packet from the selected device to a specified IP address and use the response to determine the path a packet takes to that IP address.
