Chapter 10 Maintenance Table 60 Maintenance > Firmware Upgrade > Next Step LABEL DESCRIPTION Add Click Add to add the selected devices you wish to upgrade to the selected firmware version. The devices will be added to the device table on the right. Remove Click Remove to remove any selected devices from the table on the right. This means they will not be upgraded. Image File Click Image 1 to upgrade the device's first image file. Click Image 2 to upgrade the device's second image file. Device This table lists all the devices that have been added and will be upgraded when OK is clicked. OK Click OK to upgrade the added devices, a message will appear, click Close to exit this screen. Cancel Click Cancel to exit the screen without saving any changes. 10.3.2 Procedure to Upgrade Firmware You can perform firmware upgrade on all devices of the same type simultaneously on the EMS. To update firmware, first download the latest firmware, then unzip and store it on your computer. You can use the EMS FTP client to connect to a selected device. Note: Do NOT turn off the device during the updating process, as it may corrupt the firmware and make your device unusable. 1 Click Maintenance > Firmware Upgrade. 2 Select a device type in the Device Type drop-down list box. 3 Type the directory of the firmware file you wish to upload to the device in the F/W Directory text box or click Browse... to locate it. After you have specified the directory, click Next Step. 4 At the top of this screen select the firmware version you wish to upgrade to using the drop-down list box. Then select the devices you wish to upgrade the firmware for by selecting them and clicking Add. This will add them to the device table on the right. 5 Click the image file of the device you wish to upgrade and click OK to begin the upgrade process. 6 Reboot the device (see Section 10.1 on page 127) and check the firmware version on the device to make sure that the firmware has updated successfully.
