Chapter 9 Fault The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 55 Fault > Ping and Trace Route Test > Trace route LABEL DESCRIPTION Device Name This field displays the name and IP address of each device. Target IP Address Enter the IP address of the device to which you want to send a traceroute packet from the selected device. Max Hop Count Specify the maximum number of hops (intermediary devices) you want to trace. Enter a number between 1 and 255. Time out (sec) Specify the time (1-60 seconds) the device is to wait for a reply from the remote device before declaring this a failed traceroute test. Start Click Start to begin the traceroute test. Stop Click Stop to end the traceroute test. Clear Click Clear to reset the fields in this part of the screen. Hop This field displays the address of the hop. Status This field indicates the status of the hop. Close Click Close to exit this screen. 9.4 Alarm Severity Configuration You can use the Alarm Severity Configuration screen to change the priority of an alarm type. You can change them to Critical, Major, Minor and Info. Click Fault > Alarm Severity Configuration to display the screen.
