CHAPTER 12 OLT Configuration Overview The following chapters cover how to configure the OLTs using the EMS configuration screens. Note: For a basic introduction on how to use the interface of the OLT configuration screens see Section 3.9 on page 54. 12.1 OLT Configuration Screens Overview • Use the System Configuration screens (page 153) to configure settings such as general system information, SNMP, remote management and time setup. • Use the Switch Configuration screens (page 169) configure switch settings such as priority queuing, STP, link aggregation and GARP timer and port-related settings (such as port VLAN, STP and security). • Use the Multicast Configuration screens (page 199) to configure multicast settings and MVR (Multicast VLAN Registration) groups. • Use the IP Configuration screens (page 217) to configure the system IP address, DHCP relay, TrTCM and static routing. • Use the RMON Configuration screens (page 229) to configure RMON (Remote Network Monitor) settings on a device. • Use the EPON Configuration screens (page 239) to configure the OLT PON settings and apply EPON profiles to an ONU. • Use the EPON Profile Configuration screens (page 249) to configure EPON profiles. • Use the Advanced Configuration screens (page 291) to configure advanced settings, such as MAC filtering, IEEE 802.1x, loop guard and bandwidth control.
