Chapter 19 EPON Profile Configuration The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 125 EPON Profile Configuration LABEL DESCRIPTION Profile Type Select the type of the profile you want to configure. Profile List This displays the pre-configured profiles of the type you selected above. Index This is the index number of the profile. Profile Name This is the name of the profile. Add... Click Add... to create a new profile. Modify... Click Modify... to change the settings of the selected profile. Delete... Click Delete... to remove the selected profile. Detail... Click Detail... to display a screen with the details of the selected profile. Copy to... Click the Copy to.. button to copy the configuration from the device that you are currently configuring to other device(s) of the same model. Close Click Close to exit the screen. 19.1.1 Configuring OLT Policy Port Rule Profiles Once you have set the profile settings, you can apply it to the ONU in the ONU Service Config screens (refer to Section 18.3 on page 244). Your EMS comes with a "Default" profile contains the settings that work in most network environment. When you create a profile having the same name as an existing profile, the previous settings will be replaced in the existing profile. To create a new profile, select the profile type and click Add... in the EPON Profile Configuration screen.
