Chapter 19 EPON Profile Configuration 19.1.6 Configuring Upstream Link Profiles Use this screen to configure the upstream link rule profile(s) which contain up to 20 policy link rule profiles applied to upstream traffic through a link of the ONU to the OLT. Note: If a packet matches both the upstream OLT policy port rule profile and upstream policy link rule profile, but the actions of the two profiles conflict with each other, the EMS applies the profile with the highest priority. Once you have set the profile settings, you can apply it to the ONU in the ONU Service Config screens (refer to Section 18.3 on page 244). Your OLT comes with a "Default" profile contains the settings that work in most network environment. When you create a profile having the same name as an existing profile, the previous settings will be replaced in the existing profile. To create a new profile, select the profile type and click Add... in the EPON Profile Configuration screen. To change the settings of a selected profile, select the profile type and an existing profile and click Modify... in the EPON Profile Configuration.
