2 Product Overview Machine Components The following describes machine components and their functions. Main Body and HCF B1 18 1 17 2 3 4 16 15 5 14 6 13 7 12 8 11 10 9 No. Component 1 Document cover 2 Document glass 3 Control panel 4 Exit 2 Tray 5 Lower Center Tray (output tray) 6 Power switch 7 Front cover 8 Tray 1 to 4 9 Locking casters 10 Tray 6 (HCF B1) (optional) 11 Tray 6 top cover 12 Tray 5 (bypass tray) Function Holds a document in place. Load a document here. Consists of operation buttons, LED indicators, and the touch screen. Refer to "Control Panel" (P.49). Outputs are delivered here by separating the center tray into two levels. Copies and prints are delivered here, facing down. Switches the power of the machine on and off. Refer to "Power Source" (P.41). Open this cover to replace the consumables. Load paper here. Used for locking the wheels of the machine. Lock these casters after moving the machine to its installation site. Load paper here. Open this cover to clear paper jams after moving Tray 6 to the left. Used for loading non-standard paper, such as thick-stock paper and other special media, that cannot be loaded in Trays 1 to 4. 34
