Defining IP Addresses ❏ Active Default Gateway - Indicates if the default gateway is active. ❏ Remove User Defined - Removes the default gateway. The possible field values are: ◆ Checked - Removes the selected default gateway. ◆ Unchecked - Maintains the default gateway. ❏ IP Address - Displays the currently configured IP address. ❏ Mask - Displays the currently configured IP address mask. ❏ Interface - Displays the interface used to manage the device.The possible field values are: ◆ Port - Indicates the port for which IP addresses are defined. ◆ LAG - Indicates the LAG for which IP addresses are defined. ◆ VLAN - Indicates the VLAN for which IP addresses are defined. ❏ Type - Indicates if the IP address has been configured statically or added dynamically. The possible field values are: ◆ Static - Indicates the IP address is a user-defined static IP address. ◆ DHCP - Indicates the IP address was retrieved using DCHP. 2. Click . The Add IP Interface page opens: Add IP Interface In addition to the fields in the Interface page, the Add IP Interface page contains the following additional fields: ❏ Get Dynamic IP from DHCP Server - Retrieves the device IP address from a DCHP Server. The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol dynamically assigns IP addresses to devices on a network.
