Configuring SNMP Defining SNMP Notification Recipients The SNMP Notification Recipient page contains information for defining filters that determine whether traps are sent to specific users, and the trap type sent. SNMP notification filters provide the following services: ■ Identifying Management Trap Targets ■ Trap Filtering ■ Selecting Trap Generation Parameters ■ Providing Access Control Checks To define SNMP notification recipients: 1. Click SNMP > Trap Management > Notification Recipient. The SNMP Notification Recipient page opens: SNMP Notification Recipient The SNMP Notification Recipient page is divided into the following tables: ❏ SNMPv1.2 Notification Recipient ❏ SNMPv3 Notification Recipient The SNMPv1.2 Notification Recipient table contains the following fields: ❏ Recipients IP - Displays the IP address to which the traps are sent. ❏ Notification Type - Displays the notification sent. The possible field values are: ◆ Traps - Indicates traps are sent. ◆ Informs - Indicates informs are sent. ❏ Community String - Displays the community string of the trap manager. ❏ Notification Version - Displays the trap type. The possible field values are: ◆ SNMPv1 - Indicates that SNMP Version 1 traps are sent. ◆ SNMPv2c - Indicates that SNMP Version 2c traps are sent. ❏ UDP Port - Displays the UDP port used to send notifications.
