Using the MFP control panel and menus Speaker Settings Defaults Menu - Fax Settings - Speaker Settings Menu item Speaker Mode Ringer Volume Purpose Specifies how long the speaker remains on. Sets the MFP fax speaker ringer volume. Values and descriptions Always Off The speaker is set off. On until Connected* The speaker is on and issues the noise until the fax connection is made. Analog* Fax Server The fax method is by a telephone line. The fax job is sent to a fax server for transmission. Sets the MFP to manual fax On only which requires a line splitter and a telephone Off* hand set. You use a regular telephone to answer an incoming fax job and to dial a fax number.
