Using the MFP control panel and menus Defaults Menu - Fax Settings - Fax Modes(continued) Menu item Purpose Values and descriptions Memory Use Defines the amount of non-volatile memory used in relation to fax for a fax job. The default setting splits an equal amount of memory between sending and receiving fax jobs. However, when one of the values is set, then the memory is not set equally. All receive Mostly receive Equal* Mostly sent All the memory is set to receive fax jobs. Most of the memory is set to receive fax jobs. Splits the memory for sending and receiving fax jobs into equal amounts. Most of the memory is set to send fax jobs. All send All the memory is set to send fax jobs. Cancel Faxes Sets the MFP so you can have the option of canceling fax jobs. If this is not allowed, the Cancel Faxes menu item in the Fax menu is hidden and does not appear on the control panel. Allow* Don't Allow Lets you cancel a fax job. The Cancel Faxes menu item appears on the control panel. The Cancel Faxes menu item does not appear on the control panel. You cannot cancel a fax job.
