Using the MFP control panel and menus PostScript Menu Use the PostScript Menu to change print settings that only affect jobs using the PostScript emulation. Note: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default setting. Defaults Menu - Print Settings - PostScript Menu Menu item Print PS Error Purpose To print a page defining the PostScript emulation error when an error occurs. Values and descriptions Off* Discards the print job without printing an error message. On Prints an error message before it discards the job. PDF Menu Use the PDF Menu to change print settings that only affect jobs using Portable Document Format (PDF) files. Note: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default settings. Defaults Menu - Print Settings - PDF Menu Menu item Scale To Fit Orientation Halftone Purpose Values and descriptions To specify whether the No* document should be scaled to fit on the available print media. The document is not scaled to fit on the available print media. Text or graphics outside the printable area is clipped. Yes The document is scaled to fit on the available print media. To specify the default orientation of the PDF. Portrait* Prints text and graphics parallel to the short edge of the paper for the PDF. Landscape Prints text and graphics parallel to the long edge of the paper for the PDF. To specify whether to use the MFP default halftone screen or the document screen.
