Using the MFP control panel and menus Defaults Menu - Print Settings - Utilities Menu(continued) Menu item Print Menu Settings Page Print Network Setup Page Purpose Values and descriptions To print a listing of the current user default values, the installed options, the amount of installed MFP memory, the status of MFP supplies, and key statistics about MFP usage. To print information relating to the internal print server and the network settings defined by the Network Setup menu item in the Network Menu. PCL Emul Menu Use the PCL Emul Menu to change print settings that only affect jobs using the PCL emulation. Note: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default settings. Defaults Menu - Print Settings - PCL Emul Menu Menu item Font Source Font Name Symbol Set PCL Emul Settings Purpose Values and descriptions To determine the set of fonts Resident* displayed in the Font Name menu item. Displays all fonts resident in MFP RAM when the MFP ships from the factory. Download Displays all fonts downloaded to MFP RAM. Flash Displays all fonts stored in flash memory. All Displays all fonts available to the MFP from all sources. To choose a specific font from the specified font source. For a list of font names, see Resident fonts. R0 Courier 10* The font name and font ID for all fonts in the selected font source are displayed. The font source abbreviation is R for resident, F for flash, and D for download. To choose a symbol set for a specified font name. 10U PC-8* (country/ regionspecific factory default values) 12U PC-850* (country/ regionspecific factory default values) A symbol set is a set of alphabetic and numeric characters, punctuation, and special symbols used when printing with a selected font. Symbol sets support the different requirements for languages or specific applications, such as math symbols for scientific text.
