Chapter 9 Device Network Settings Table 96 Device Operation > Device Configuration > Network > Interface > Ethernet (ZLD ZyWALL) (continued) LABEL DESCRIPTION IP Address This field displays the current IP address of the interface. If the IP address is 0.0.0.0, the interface does not have an IP address yet. Mask Modify This screen also shows whether the IP address is a static IP address (STATIC) or dynamically assigned (DHCP). IP addresses are always static in virtual interfaces. This field displays the interface's subnet mask in dot decimal notation. This column lets you create, edit, or remove interfaces. You cannot add or remove Ethernet interfaces, however. To create a virtual Ethernet interface, click the Add icon next to the corresponding Ethernet interface. To edit an interface, click the Edit icon next to it. To remove a virtual interface, click the Remove icon next to it. The ZyWALL confirms you want to remove it before doing so. Make sure you click Apply to save and apply the change. 9.1.1 Ethernet Edit Use this screen to configure IP address assignment, interface parameters, RIP settings, OSPF settings, DHCP settings, and connectivity check settings. To access this screen, click an Edit icon next to an interface in the Device Operation > Device Configuration > Network > Interface > Ethernet screen. 248 Vantage CNM User's Guide
