Parameter diskGroup newDiskGroup userLabel virtualDiskWWID capacity offset raidLevel segmentSize dssPreallocate Description The name of the disk group in which you want to create the new virtual disk. (To determine the names of the disk groups in your storage array, run the show storageArray profile command.) Name to give the new virtual disk. Enclose the new virtual disk name in double quotation marks (" "). The name of the virtual disk that you want to recover. Enclose the virtual disk name in double quotation marks (" "). The world wide name of the virtual disk that you want to recover. The name is a 16 byte identifier, for example, 60080E500017B4320000000049887D77. Enclose the identifier in double quotation marks (""). Size of the virtual disk that you are adding to the storage array. Size is defined in units of bytes. NOTE: A space must be added between the last digit and the size (bytes, KB, MB, or GB) for values greater than 9. If you do not specify a capacity, all the available physical disk capacity in the disk group is used. If you do not specify the capacity unit, bytes is used as the default unit. Number of blocks from the beginning of the disk group to the beginning of the referenced virtual disk (1 block is equal to 512 bytes). RAID level of the disk group that contains the physical disks. Valid values are 0, 1, 5, or 6. Amount of data (in kilobytes) that the RAID controller module writes on a single physical disk in a virtual disk before writing data on the next physical disk. Valid values are 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, or 512. For information about the segmentSize parameter, see "Using the Auto Configure Command" on page 53. The setting to turn on or turn off allocating virtual disk storage capacity for future segment size changes. To turn on allocation, set this parameter to TRUE. To turn off allocation, set this parameter to FALSE. Script Commands 169

Script Commands
169
diskGroup
The name of the disk group in which you want to
create the new virtual disk. (To determine the names of
the disk groups in your storage array, run the
show
storageArray profile
command.)
newDiskGroup
Name to give the new virtual disk. Enclose the new
virtual disk name in double quotation marks (" ").
userLabel
The name of the virtual disk that you want to recover.
Enclose the virtual disk name in double quotation
marks (“ ”).
virtualDiskWWID
The world wide name of the virtual disk that you want
to recover. The name is a 16 byte identifier, for
example, 60080E500017B4320000000049887D77.
Enclose the identifier in double quotation marks (“”).
capacity
Size of the virtual disk that you are adding to the
storage array. Size is defined in units of bytes.
NOTE:
A space must be added between the last digit and
the size (bytes, KB, MB, or GB) for values greater than 9.
If you do not specify a capacity, all the available physical
disk capacity in the disk group is used. If you do not
specify the capacity unit, bytes is used as the default
unit.
offset
Number of blocks from the beginning of the disk group
to the beginning of the referenced virtual disk (1 block
is equal to 512 bytes).
raidLevel
RAID level of the disk group that contains the physical
disks. Valid values are
0
,
1
,
5
, or
6
.
segmentSize
Amount of data (in kilobytes) that the RAID controller
module writes on a single physical disk in a virtual disk
before writing data on the next physical disk. Valid
values are
8
,
16
,
32
,
64
,
128
,
256
, or
512
. For
information about the
segmentSize
parameter, see
"Using the Auto Configure Command" on page 53.
dssPreallocate
The setting to turn on or turn off allocating virtual disk
storage capacity for future segment size changes. To
turn on allocation, set this parameter to
TRUE
. To
turn off allocation, set this parameter to
FALSE
.
