4062 Image quality trouble Printer Related Troubleshooting Note: First, get a printout as a base, and follow the symptom table to identify the possible failing FRU's. Image quality symptoms Faint print (low contrast)- "Faint print (Low contrast)" on page 2-158. Blank print (no print)- "Blank print (no print)" on page 2-160. Solid black- "Solid black" on page 2-162. Vertical blank lines (White stripes in media transport direction)- "Vertical lines and bands (process direction)" on page 2-163. Horizontal band-"Horizontal white stripes or bands (side to side direction)" on page 2-164 Vertical stripes- "Vertical stripes (process direction)" on page 2-165. Horizontal stripes- "Horizontal stripes (side to side direction)" on page 2-166. Partial lack- "Partial lack" on page 2-168. Spots- "Spots" on page 2-169. Afterimage- "After image" on page 2-171. Background (fog)- "Background (fog)" on page 2-172. Skew-"Skew" on page 2-173. Media damage- "Media damage" on page 2-174. No fuse-"No fuse" on page 2-176. Note: When horizontal lines and/or spots occur periodically, it is possibly caused by a particular roll.
