3. Insert the data plug into the COM port of your laptop or other device. Make sure no other application is using the COM port selected. Make sure the COM port settings of your laptop or other device are set to the following: ⅷ Bits per second: 4800 ⅷ Data bits: 8 ⅷ Parity: None ⅷ Stop bits: 1 ⅷ Flow control: Hardware To set your phone to send location information to your laptop or other device: 1. Press M > GPS > Interface. 2. Set NMEA OUT to On. Your phone is now sending location data to your laptop or other device. To stop your phone from sending location data to your laptop or other device: ᮣ Set NMEA OUT to Off. Each time you power your phone on, NMEA OUT is automatically set to Off. Memo Feature Memo lets you store a number, make a call to that number, and save it to Contacts. To create a memo: 1. Press M > Memo. 2. Enter the number using your keypad. 3. Press r. To view the memo later: ᮣ Press M > Memo To delete the memo: 1. Press M > Memo 2. Press and hold Delete - (left softkey). 3. Press r. Section 2F. Tools 129 Tools
