Displaying Your Phone Number and Direct Connect Number My Info lets you view your phone number, Direct Connect number, and other phone information. To view information about your phone: 1. Press M > My Info. Note You may need to select More to display My Info. 2. Press r. 3. Scroll to see your information: Ⅲ My Name - You can enter your name here. Ⅲ Line 1 and Line 2 - your phone numbers for phone lines 1 and 2. Each number appears when you receive your alert notification after enabling security on your phone. Ⅲ Direct Connect - the number that others use to contact you using Nextel Direct Connect. This number appears when you receive your alert notification after enabling security on your phone. Ⅲ Group ID - the number of the Talkgroup you have joined. Ⅲ Carrier IP - the IP address assigned to Nextel. This number appears when you register for packet data services. Ⅲ IP1 Address and IP2 Address - the IP addresses you use to access the Internet with your phone. Ⅲ Circuit Data - the number you use if you want to use your phone to transfer circuit data. See "Using Your Phone as a Modem" on page 194. You receive this number from Nextel. Note If you request equipment-related transactions on your account, Nextel Customer Service may require you to provide specific information about your phone. By pressing M anytime while in My Info, a submenu will appear that includes your phone's service status, unit information, and phone identification numbers including IMEI, SIM ID, and Serial Number (SN). Please be prepared to supply the representative with this information when requesting these types of transactions. Section 1B. Phone Basics 19
