OTHER BASIC PROCEDURES Memo ● To use a different thread color than the one that was specified, use the temporary needle bar setting key, and then change the thread color setting. (For details, refer to "Temporary Needle Bar Setting" on page 142.) ● To minimize changing the thread spools, frequently used thread colors can be specifically assigned to certain needle bars. (For details, refer to "Reserved Needle Bar and Sewing Speed Settings" on page 145.) Tie the end of the thread on the new spool 3 with the end of the thread remaining from the previous color. Easily changing the thread spools When replacing the thread spools, it is necessary to re-thread the upper thread. However, the thread spools can easily be changed when replacing a thread spool whose thread is correctly threaded through the machine. Cut the thread between the thread spool and 1 the thread guide.
