PCL Menu This menu is used to change the default PCL font settings used by your printer. Table 4-8 presents the messages that appear when each of the menu items is selected. Internal fonts are those stored in the printer; slot numbers correlate to font SIMMs that may be installed; and soft fonts are those that have been manually downloaded to the printer. NUMBER= [0,..22] Each font is listed by a number. The default font number can be manually changed here. PITCH= [0.44..99.99] This entry displays the pitch of the default font. SYM SET= This is the default symbol set, which is normally [ROMAN-8*,ISO Roman 8. The symbol set may be different L1, ISO L2,ISO depending on the application.
