4 Command Line Interface lacp port-priority This command configures LACP port priority. Use the no form to restore the default setting. Syntax lacp {actor | partner} port-priority priority no lacp {actor | partner} port-priority • actor - The local side an aggregate link. • partner - The remote side of an aggregate link. • priority - LACP port priority is used to select a backup link. (Range: 0-65535) Default Setting 32768 Command Mode Interface Configuration (Ethernet) Command Usage • Setting a lower value indicates a higher effective priority. • If an active port link goes down, the backup port with the highest priority is selected to replace the downed link. However, if two or more ports have the same LACP port priority, the port with the lowest physical port number will be selected as the backup port. • Once the remote side of a link has been established, LACP operational settings are already in use on that side. Configuring LACP settings for the partner only applies to its administrative state, not its operational state, and will only take effect the next time an aggregate link is established with the partner. Example Console(config)#interface ethernet 1/5 Console(config-if)#lacp actor port-priority 128 show lacp This command displays LACP information. Syntax show lacp [port-channel] {counters | internal | neighbors | sysid} • port-channel - Local identifier for a link aggregation group. (Range: 1-32) • counters - Statistics for LACP protocol messages. • internal - Configuration settings and operational state for local side. • neighbors - Configuration settings and operational state for remote side. • sysid - Summary of system priority and MAC address for all channel groups. 4-136
