4 Command Line Interface bridge-ext gvrp This command enables GVRP globally for the switch. Use the no form to disable it. Syntax [no] bridge-ext gvrp Default Setting Disabled Command Mode Global Configuration Command Usage GVRP defines a way for switches to exchange VLAN information in order to register VLAN members on ports across the network. This function should be enabled to permit automatic VLAN registration, and to support VLANs which extend beyond the local switch. Example Console(config)#bridge-ext gvrp Console(config)# show bridge-ext This command shows the configuration for bridge extension commands. Default Setting None Command Mode Privileged Exec Command Usage See "Displaying Basic VLAN Information" on page 3-126 and "Displaying Bridge Extension Capabilities" on page 3-13 for a description of the displayed items.
