You can classify traffic based on access lists, IP Precedence or DSCP values, or VLANs. Using access lists allows you select traffic based on Layer 2, Layer 3, or Layer 4 information contained in each packet Note: Due to a chip limitation, IP source guard and Quality of Service (only for IP related QoS functions) cannot be enabled at the same time. Thus, if the user has already enabled the IP source guard function, it needs to be disabled first in order for the QoS function to work, and vice versa. 4-192
