Dell PowerConnect J-Series J-EX8208 Ethernet Switch Hardware Guide The AC power supplies, fan tray, SFP transceiver, and SFP+ transceiver in J-EX8200 switches are hot-removable and hot-insertable FRUs: you can remove and replace them without powering off the switch or disrupting switch functions. To install an SRE module in a J-EX8208 switch, follow instructions in "Installing an SRE Module in a J-EX8208 Switch" on page 118. Up to six AC power supplies can be installed in a J-EX8200 switch. All AC power supplies install in the front of the chassis in the slots provided at the bottom. See "Slot Numbering for a J-EX8208 Switch" on page 11. Before you install an AC power supply in the switch: • Ensure you understand how to prevent ESD damage.
