bestpath router-id Ignores comparing router-id information for external paths during best-path selection. Syntax Parameters Default Command Mode Usage Information bestpath router-id {ignore} ignore - Enter to ignore AS path for best-path computation. Enabled ROUTER-BGP If you do not receive the same router ID for multiple paths, select the path that you received first. If you received the same router ID for multiple paths, ignore the path information. The no version of this command resets the value to the default. NOTE: To configure these settings for a non-default VRF instance, first enter the ROUTER-CONFIGVRF sub mode using the following commands: 1 Enter the ROUTER BGP mode using the router bgp as-number command. 2 From the ROUTER BGP mode, enter ROUTER BGP VRF mode using the vrf vrf-name command. Example OS10(conf-router-bgp-2)# bestpath router-id ignore Supported Releases 10.3.0E or later clear ip bgp Resets BGP IPv4 or IPv6 neighbor sessions.
