Adobe Illustrator CS Scripting Guide 21 Values Types Values are the data your scripts use to do their work. Most of the time, the values used in your scripts will be numbers or text. The value types are shown in the following tables. AppleScript Value type Boolean Integer Real String List Object reference Record What it is Example: Logical True or False. Whole numbers (no decimal points). Integers can be positive or negative. true 14 A number which may contain a decimal point. 13.9972 A series of text characters. Strings appear inside (straight) quotation marks. "I am a string" An ordered list of values. The values of a list may be any type. {10.0, 20.0, 30.0, 40.0} A specific reference to an object. document 1 An unordered list of properties, Each property {name: "you", index: 1} is identified by its label.
