Terminal Control The lp command sends files to a printer. A terminal window opens. 29. Move the mouse cursor into the terminal window and click the left mouse button. 30. If you made your printer the default system printer, enter the fol- lowing command to test your printer: lp .vueprofile Enter If your printer isn't the default system printer, enter the following command to test your printer: lp -d printername .vueprofile Enter where printername is the name you chose when setting up your printer. The file named .vueprofile prints out on the printer. If the file doesn't print, see the section titled "Printing Problems," later in this chapter. 2-9
