This chapter describes how to perform tasks that archive to and transfer data from the optional DDS tape drive. It also describes how to maintain and care for the drive. We assume the DDS tape drive is set to the factory default address of SCSI ID 3. The instructions in this chapter assume you are using the HP-UX version 9.05 or later operating system with the HP VUE version 3.0 interface. CAUTION: Use only data cassettes labeled DDS (Digital Data Storage) cassettes. Never use audio cassettes labeled DAT (Digital Audio Tape) in your DDS-format drive. 4-2
