Printing a File The lp command sends files to a printer. To print a file, use one of the following command lines in a terminal window: lp filename Enter or lp -d printername filename Enter where filename is the name of the file that you want to print, and printername is the name of the printer on which you wish to print the file. 1. Click on the Terminal Control on the Front Panel of your Workspace. A terminal window opens. 2. Move the mouse cursor into the terminal window and click the left mouse button. 3. Enter the lp command as described above.
