Connecting the USB using the included USB cord clamps When connecting the machine to a computer, use the included USB cord clamps to keep the cord away from the carriage. Included cord clamps ADVANCED EMBROIDERY Hold the clip end of the USB cord clamp, and then c firmly insert the other end into the screw hole where the protective cap was removed. Installation positions of the USB cord clamps a b As described in steps a through c, remove the d protective cap from the rear screw hole on the side of the machine, and then insert an opened USB cord clamp. Check that the USB cord clamps have been firmly e inserted into the front and rear screw holes on the side of the machine. • If the USB cord clamps are not firmly inserted into the screw holes, they are not correctly installed. Firmly insert the cord clamps into the screw holes. 3 1 Front screw hole on the side of the machine 2 Rear screw hole on the side of the machine Using the included Allen screwdriver, remove the a protective cap covering the front screw on the side of the machine. • Insert the end of the Allen screwdriver into the hole in the protective cap, and then lightly pull out the protective cap to remove it. Pass the USB cable through the front USB cord clamp, f and then close the clamp to secure the cable. • When passing the USB cable through the clamp, do not insert it with excessive force; otherwise, the clamp may break. Note • Do not insert the Allen screwdriver too far into the hole in the protective cap; otherwise, the machine or the Allen screwdriver may be damaged. Open the USB cord clamp. b • With your fingernail, press on the tab to open the clamp. 1 Tab a Using the same operation described in step e, secure g the USB cable with the rear USB cord clamp. Arrange the USB cable between the USB cord clamps h so that the cable does not interfere with the operation of the machine. Connecting the USB using the included USB
cord clamps
When connecting the machine to a computer, use the
included USB cord clamps to keep the cord away from the
carriage.

Using the included Allen screwdriver, remove the
protective cap covering the front screw on the side of
the machine.
• Insert the end of the Allen screwdriver into the hole in
the protective cap, and then lightly pull out the
protective cap to remove it.

Open the USB cord clamp.
• With your fingernail, press on the tab to open the
clamp.

Hold the clip end of the USB cord clamp, and then
firmly insert the other end into the screw hole where
the protective cap was removed.

, remove the
protective cap from the rear screw hole on the side of
the machine, and then insert an opened USB cord
clamp.

Check that the USB cord clamps have been firmly
inserted into the front and rear screw holes on the side
of the machine.
• If the USB cord clamps are not firmly inserted into the
screw holes, they are not correctly installed. Firmly
insert the cord clamps into the screw holes.

Pass the USB cable through the front USB cord clamp,
and then close the clamp to secure the cable.
• When passing the USB cable through the clamp, do
not insert it with excessive force; otherwise, the clamp
may break.

Using the same operation described in step

, secure
the USB cable with the rear USB cord clamp.

Arrange the USB cable between the USB cord clamps
so that the cable does not interfere with the operation
of the machine.
Note
Do not insert the Allen screwdriver too far into the
hole in the protective cap; otherwise, the machine
or the Allen screwdriver may be damaged.
