SENDING EMBROIDERY PATTERNS FROM A COMPUTER TO THE MACHINE (LINK FUNCTION) This machine is compatible with the Link function. This function allows embroidery patterns edited in embroidery software with the Link function, such as PE-DESIGN NEXT or later, to be transferred from a computer to multiple machines. As many as 100 embroidery patterns can be transferred to a machine, and the embroidering status of the patterns being transferred can be viewed from the computer monitor. Use the included USB cable or the wireless LAN function to connect the machine to a computer. To transfer patterns via the wireless network connection, use PE-DESIGN version 11.2 or later. Operations available with the Link function ■ Send multiple embroidery patterns to connected machines ■ Check the embroidering status of the machine (this model) from the computer (Example of multiple machines connected by the USB cable) • A maximum of four machines can be connected. (Example of multiple machines connected by the wireless LAN function) • A maximum of ten machines can be connected. Embroidering using the Link function First, use the embroidery editing software to create the embroidery pattern to be sent to the machine. Note • Embroidery data in the PES format (.pes) can be embroidered using the Link function. • The Link function cannot be used with split (largesize) patterns. Memo • When connecting multiple machines to the computer, use a commercially available USB hub. Please note that we recommend you use a selfpowered USB hub.
