Hewlett-Packard NetRAID-4M Controller Installation Guide Note: If the battery enable jumper is not connected or if the battery is disconnected from the two jumper pins, the controller will not pass the Power-On SelfTest (POST), and data is not accessible. 4 Insert the HP NetRAID-4M in the expansion slot as shown in Figure 2-3. Press down firmly so that the bus contacts are securely seated in the slot. Secure the bracket with the screw you removed in the previous step. Note: The HP NetRAID-4M should only be installed in a full-length PCI slot that includes a card support guide as shown in Figure 2-3. Due to the mass of the HP NetRAID-4M, this support is necessary to ensure reliable operation. Also, when inserting the HP NetRAID-4M be sure the bracket is aligned with the slot. 2-4
