4. Touch the Type message box and compose your message. 5. Touch and select a media type from the list. 6. Touch Send . Save and Resume a Draft Message Any message you do not send is automatically saved as a draft unless you delete it. To resume composing the message: 1. In the messages list, touch the message marked with Draft that you want to resume editing. 2. When you are finished, touch Send . New Messages Notification Depending on your notification settings, the phone plays a ringtone, vibrates, or displays an icon in the status bar when you receive a new text or multimedia message. You can change the notification for new text and multimedia messages, see Text and MMS Options for details. To open a message, slide the status bar down to open the Notifications panel. Touch the new message to open and read it. Text and MMS Options Change your text and MMS options. n From home, touch Apps > Messaging > Menu > Settings and touch an option to change its settings. l SMS Enabled/Disabled: Toggle between Hangouts and SMS Messaging. l Delete old messages: Allow automatic deletion of messages when limits are reached. l Text message limit: Change the maximum number of text messages to store in each conversation thread. (This does not include locked messages.) l Multimedia message limit: Change maximum messages per conversation. l Manage SIM card messages: Change the messages stored on your SIM card. l Group messaging: Select MMS to send a single message when there are multiple recipients. l Auto-retrieve: Let your phone automatically retrieve MMS messages.
