You can also stop services from the Task Manager, but not start them. To start or stop Windows services using the Services window 1 On the Windows taskbar, click Start > Administrative Tools > Services. 2 Locate the service and click it to highlight it. 3 Click one of the symbols at the top of the window to start or stop the service. To stop services from the Task Manager 1 Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete. 2 Click Task Manager. 3 Right click the name of the service and then click End Process Tree. Be sure to use End Process Tree option, not the End Process option.
