When each of the chosen network layer protocols has been configured, packets from each network layer protocol can be sent over the link. The link remains configured for communications until explicit LCP or NCP packets close the link, or until some external event occurs. This is the actual switch port link type. It may differ from the administrative state. • Disable - Disables point-to-point link. • Auto - The device automatically establishes a point-to-point link. - Fast Link - Displays whether Fast Link mode is enabled for the port. If this is enabled, the Port State is automatically placed in the Forwarding state when the port is up. - BPDU Guard - Displays whether BPDU Guard is enabled on the port. Miscellaneous fields: - Policy Name - Displays the name of a policy if one is defined on the port. - Auto Negotiation - Displays whether auto-negotiation is enabled on the port. Auto-Negotiation enables a port to advertise its transmission rate, duplex mode, and Flow Control abilities to other devices. 6 Click Apply Profile to apply the profile to the specified interface.
