• Permanent - The MAC address is never aged out of the table and, if it is saved to the Startup Configuration, it is retained after rebooting. • Delete on Reset - The MAC address is deleted when the device is reset. • Delete on Timeout - The MAC address is deleted when a timeout occurs. • Secure - The MAC address is secure when the interface is in classic locked mode. To prevent Static MAC addresses from being deleted when the Ethernet device is reset, ensure that the port attached to the MAC address is locked.
