CoS to Queue The CoS to Queue page maps CoS priorities to an egress queue, meaning that the egress queues of the incoming packets is based on the CoS priority in their VLAN Tags. For incoming, untagged packets, the CoS priority is the default CoS priority assigned to ingress ports. By changing CoS to Queue mapping, Queue schedule method, and bandwidth allocation, it is possible to achieve the desired quality of services in a network. The CoS to Queue mapping is applicable only if one of the following exists: • The switch is in QoS Basic mode, and CoS is the trusted mode. • The switch is in QoS Advanced mode, and the packets belong to flows that are CoS trusted. 650 Dell PowerConnect 55xx Systems User Guide
