DSCP Rewrite Use the DSCP Rewrite page to rewrite the DSCP tags for incoming traffic, when different DSCP values are used in the incoming and outgoing domains. Changing the DSCP value used in one domain to the DSCP value used in the other domain preserves the priority of traffic used in the first domain. As an example, assume that there are three levels of service: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The DSCP incoming values used to mark these levels are 10, 20, and 30 respectively. If this traffic is forwarded to another service provider that has the same three levels of service, but uses DSCP values 16, 24, and 48, the values set in the DSCP Rewrite page are used to change the incoming values to the outgoing values.
