EOBC Messages Chapter 2 Messages and Recovery Procedures EOBC Messages This section contains Ethernet out-of-band channel (EOBC) messages. EOBC-0 EOBC-2 Error Message %EOBC-0-EOBC_JAM_FATAL: [chars] in slot [dec] is jamming the EOBC channel. It has been disabled. Explanation The primary supervisor engine EOBC hardware is faulty. There is no redundant supervisor engine to take over, so the switch has been shut down. Recommended Action Immediately replace the supervisor engine in the slot specified in the error message. EOBC-3 Error Message %EOBC-2-EOBC_JAM: EOBC channel is jammed. Attempting to diagnose the source of the problem and recover if possible. Explanation The SP is unable to communicate with other processors in the system because of a problem with the EOBC channel.
