Chapter 2 Messages and Recovery Procedures CAPI_EC Messages CAPI-3 Error Message %CAPI-3-INVALID_SUBMODULE: The submodule type for slot [dec] is invalid Explanation The system detected an internal software inconsistency that might affect the operation of one of the submodules (for example, an inline power supply or SPA) in the specified slot. Recommended Action Use the hw-module command to reload or power cycle the modules in the slot specified in the error message. If this message recurs, copy the message exactly as it appears on the console or in the system log. Research and attempt to resolve the issue using the tools and utilities provided at http://www.cisco.com/tac. With some messages, these tools and utilities will supply clarifying information. Search for resolved software issues using the Bug Toolkit at http://tools.cisco.com/Support/BugToolKit/.
