Defining SNTP Authentication Settings Using CLI Commands For information about the CLI commands that perform this function, see the Clock Commands chapter in the CLI Reference Guide. The following table summarizes the equivalent CLI commands you use to define SNTP authentication settings. Table 6-9. SNTP Authentication Settings Commands CLI Command sntp authenticate sntp authentication-key sntp trusted-key Description Use to require server authentication for received Network Time protocol (NTP) traffic. Use to define an authentication key for SNTP. Use to authenticate the identity of a system to which SNTP will synchronize. SNTP Server Use the SNTP Server page to view and modify information for enabling SNTP servers, and to add new SNTP servers. To display the SNTP Server page, click System →SNTP →SNTP Server in the tree view. Figure 6-13. SNTP Servers The SNTP Servers page contains the following fields: • SNTP Server - Selects user-defined SNTP server IP address from a drop-down menu. Up to eight SNTP servers can be defined by using the Add button. • Encryption Key ID - Specifies user-defined key ID used to communicate between the SNTP server and device.
