Table 6-12. Log Information Commands CLI Command clear logging show logging Description Use to clear messages from the logging buffer. Displays the state of logging and the syslog messages stored in the internal buffer. Log File The Log File contains information about specific log entries, including the time the log was entered, the log severity, and a description of the log. To display the Log File, click System →Logs →Log File in the tree view. Figure 6-18. Log File The Log File Table page contains the following fields: • Log Index - The Log Number within the Log File Table. • Severity - The log severity. • Log Time - The time at which the log was entered in the Log File Table. • Component - The component being logged. • Description - The log description. Removing Log Information 1. Open the Log File Table page. 2. Click Clear Log. The log information is removed from the log file table, and the device is updated. Configuring System Information 139
