• ICMP Redirects - Select Enable to allow the switch to generate ICMP redirect messages. Select Disable to prevent the switch from generating ICMP redirect messages. The ICMP Redirect feature is also configurable on each interface. • ICMP Rate Limit Interval - To control the ICMP error packets, you can specify the number of ICMP error packets that are allowed per burst interval. By default, the rate limit is 100 packets per second, i.e. the burst interval is 1000 milliseconds. To disable ICMP rate limiting, set this field to zero. The valid rate interval range is 0 to 2147483647 milliseconds. • ICMP Rate Limit Burst Size - To control the ICMP error packets, you can specify the number of ICMP error packets that are allowed per burst interval. By default, the rate limit is 100 packets. • Maximum Next Hops - The maximum number of hops supported by the switch. This is a compiletime constant. Configuring IP Routing Parameters 1.
