Validation errors are displayed to the user by highlighting the field(s) that are in error and displaying the validation error message with the field: All fields must be successfully validated before any form processing can take place. This ensures that the form processing always has user input that is known to be valid. To validate a specific field, choose a validator from the drop-down list. See "Form Field Validation Functions" in the Reference chapter for a description of the built-in validators. The Validator Param is the name of a field on the form, the value of which should be passed to the validator as its argument. This could be used to validate one field based on the contents of another. However, in most deployments this does not need to be set. Set the Validator Param to its default value, "(Use argument)", to provide a fixed value as the argument to the validator.
