HAZARD AVOIDANCE DATALINK LIGHTNING Datalink Lightning (DL LTNG) data (Figure 6-61) shows the approximate location of cloud-to-ground lightning strikes. A strike icon represents a strike that has occurred within a two-kilometer region. Neither cloud-to-cloud nor the exact location of the lightning strike is displayed. Lightning Strikes Figure 6-61 Datalink Lightning Datalink Lightning data displayed on the following maps: • PFD Inset Map • Trip Planning Page • Navigation Map Page • Nearest Pages • Weather Data Link (GFDS) Page • Flight Plan Pages Displaying Datalink Lightning information: 1) Press the MAP Softkey (for the PFD Inset Map, select the INSET Softkey). This step is not necessary on the Weather Data Link (GFDS) Page. 2) Press the DL LTNG Softkey. To display the Datalink Lightning legend on the Weather Data Link (GFDS) Page (Figure 6-62), select the LEGEND Softkey when Datalink Lightning is selected for display.
