FS700TS Smart Switch Software Administration Manual View Content SNMP views provide or block access to device features or portions of features. For example, a view can be defined to provide a view that SNMP group A has Read Only (R/O) access to Multicast groups, while SNMP group B has Read-Write (R/W) access to Multicast groups. Feature access is granted via the MIB name or MIB Object ID. To define the SNMP View Content: 1. Click System > SNMP > SNMPv3 > View Content. The SNMPv3 View Content screen displays: Figure 3-16 The SNMPv3 View Content screen contains the following fields: Views • View Name - Select the user-defined view name. The view name can contain a maximum of 30 alphanumeric characters. • Object ID Subtree - Enter the device feature OID. • View Type - Select whether the defined OID branch will be included in or excluded from the selected SNMP view. The possible field values are: - Included - The OID is included in the SNMP view. - Excluded - The OID is excluded from the SNMP view. 2. Select the View Name from the list in the provided field in the Views table. 3. Enter the Object ID Subtree in the provided field in the first row. 4. SNMP views provide or block access to device features or portions of features. For example, a
view can be defined to provide a view that SNMP group A has Read Only (R/O) access to
Multicast groups, while SNMP group B has Read-Write (R/W) access to Multicast groups. Feature
access is granted via the MIB name or MIB Object ID.
To define the SNMP View Content:
1.
Click
System
>
SNMP > SNMPv3 > View Content
. The SNMPv3 View Content screen
displays:
The SNMPv3 View Content screen contains the following fields:
Views
View Name
