Using a print server configuration page The information on the print server configuration page reveals the status of your network and the HP JetDirect 175X print server. If you can print a configuration page, your hardware is working correctly. Printing a print server configuration page Press the Test button on the rear panel of the print server. If you are not sure if the configuration page is in the process of printing, check the power/status LED. If the page never appears on the printer (or if it is unreadable), press and hold the Test button to change the page description language (PDL). Then press the Test button once to request the page. Repeat if necessary. Understanding the print server configuration page The configuration page includes messages, network statistics, and status. These messages include configuration information and error messages for the HP JetDirect print server. You can also view the HP JetDirect configuration page over the network from a management utility (such as HP Web JetAdmin) or by accessing the embedded Web server on the HP JetDirect print server. Status field error messages The configuration page contains several Status fields for the print server and the supported protocols.
