Log into the switch as the admin user. 2. Enter the uptime command at the command line. This command displays the length of time the system has been in operation, the total cumulative amount of up-time since the system was first powered-on, the date and time of the last reboot, and the reason for the last reboot. The reason for the last switch reboot is also recorded in the error log. The following example displays the uptime on a SAN Switch 2/16 using the uptime command.
