Basic Switch Management Disabling a Port To disable a port: 1. Log into the switch as the admin user. 2. At the command line, enter the portdisable command using the following syntax: portdisable [slotnumber]/portnumber (Optional) Specify the slotnumber and portnumber that you want to disable. If the port is connected to another switch, the fabric may reconfigure. If the port is connected to one or more devices, these devices are no longer available to the fabric. Note: The slot number is only required for the Core Switch 2/64 switch. The following example is the command output from the portdisable command. Disabling a Port
To disable a port:
1.
Log into the switch as the admin user.
2.
At the command line, enter the
portdisable
command using the
following syntax:
portdisable
